Secure your website from Hackers. Protect your customers, your reputation and your bank balance...
Snyk say that 83% of websites make use of plugins which are vulnerable to hacking.
The Equifax hack - which resulted in the loss of personal information on 143 million people - was blamed on one such framework and Yahoo lost information on more than a billion people because of a fairly 'easy to fix' vulnerability in their website code.
Uber lost 57 million customers records through a weakness in how they were handling backups of their source code and data.
In the website security industry it's often said that 70% of websites are easily hackable. I think it's more than 70%.
Against this, you have the backdrop of unethical hackers spending their whole working lives looking for and exploiting website vulnerabilities.
If they can get a copy of your customer database for free, they have instantly got something they can trade for money or try to steal from your users.
Uber paid their Hackers $100,000 to delete the database they had stolen.
From May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulations place greater responsibilities on data controllers (website and business owners) to protect their data, with penalties for non-compliance of up to €20 million and potential criminal records for Directors and Senior Managers.
Introducing HackScan 360™
HackScan 360™ is the first line of defence against Hackers. We start where the Hackers usually start - scanning your public-facing website for common loopholes that easily let them in.
We look for the top 10 vulnerabilities as published by OWASP (SQL Injection, Cross Site Scripting, Cross-Site Request Forgery etc) plus many more. These are the things a hacker will look to exploit first, because they are so easy to find.
But, we don't stop there - we also scan the source code behind your website. Hackers don't normally have easy access to this, but there are some front-end flaws that allow them access to the source files.
Any scan that doesn't also look behind-the-scenes is just scratching the surface.
Scanning for Vulnerabilities isn't a job for your current Designer/Developer!
Scanning for hacking vulnerabilities isn't a job for the person/company that created or maintains your website, for these good reasons:
- Many developers don't know how to create code without these glaring vulnerabilities
- Some developers do know how, but choose not to (due to pressure of work or to save time and money)
- If they did find weaknesses in their own code, they'd have to own up to you for something that they caused - and they might choose to keep quiet about it, leaving you exposed to hacking
So, the best way to protect your website from Hackers is to have it scanned by us - an independent third party - where there are no such conflicts of interest.
HackScan 360™ searches for common weaknesses that Hackers exploit
Order a HackScan 360™ check and we will scan both the front-end and source code of your website, looking for entry points that make it vulnerable to hacking. You will then receive:
- An Executive Summary detailing (in plain English) any vulnerabilities detected of medium or high importance, including an explanation of what is at risk with the website in the current state.
- A detailed guide for your Developers covering low, medium and high-risk items, so that they know where the vulnerabilities are in the code and how to correct them
- A 30 minute telephone call or Skype chat to discuss the high-level results of your scan
- If you don't have a Developer on-hand, don't worry! We can provide a no-obligation quotation to rectify the vulnerabilities detected.
We know other companies are charging very high daily rates for these kind of vulnerability scans, and taking several days over each one. Much of this is 'smoke and mirrors'.
It typically takes 2 or 3 hours to scan a website front-end, and an overnight scan to run through the source code. So, we don't charge for our time whilst we wait for a scan to finish.
Our normal price for a scan - including the Executive Summary, Developer's Guide and 30 minute call - is £299. However, you can order this today at the special price of just £149. Click the 'Pay with Card' button to buy now.

Frequently Asked Questions
When we receive your order, we will contact you to discuss the best time for your scan to take place. They are usually completed within 3 working days. However, this is subject to you providing us with access to the source code of your website (usually what are called 'FTP details').
Your report will be sent to you within two working days of the scan being completed. It is possible to shorten these timescales, but you should contact us first if this is required.
No, in fact we prefer to scan a duplicate copy of your website rather than the one that your customers use. However, this has to be an exact clone of the live website, with the same hosting environment too - otherwise the scan results may vary and then you could have vulnerabilities on your live website that were not detected on the cloned site and vice versa.
If you are in any doubt about this, contact us first so we can advise you accordingly.
